Old steel campfire rings may not elicit a lot of excitement from most people, but the Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway Association was enthusiastic when they learned about a pile of them that were available for recycling.

Byway Logo Featured in Explore Minnesota Ads
The Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway logo was chosen to be the featured byway logo on the new ‘More to Explore’ TV spots created by Explore Minnesota Tourism. The Paul Bunyan logo, sporting a close-up of an axe-carrying Paul alongside his trusty sidekick, Babe, the Blue Ox, was selected from among twenty two other Minnesota byway logos.
Impact of Scenic Byways-In Particular, Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway
On Tuesday, March 15, the Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway Association (PBSBA) was invited to speak to the Crow Wing County Committee of the Whole to share the results from two years of studies and surveys aimed at providing research-grounded information detailing the impact of the Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway on quality of life and the economy within the Byway area.

Member of the Year, Wayne Chamberlain
Around 60 members and friends of the Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway Association attended the annual meeting and dinner held at the Marina II restaurant at the Breezy Point Resort Wednesday, November 10.
Exhibits were on display during the event, and baskets filled with items donated from members were raffled at the end of the evening. Most members were dressed in Paul Bunyan attire, which added to the evening enjoyment. Wayne Chamberlain was honored as “member of the year.” He accepted the plaque and said his reason for volunteering is that he “does it for the kids.”

The Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway Association adopted that slogan a couple years ago as a way of reminding all of us that many of the things we enjoy are resources of and along the fifty four mile nationally designated Byway.
