KLKS listeners hear one-minute Byway stories

Since 2009, Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway spots, called ‘Byway Minutes’ have run from May through September on 104.3 KLKS Radio.

KLKS 104.3 FM Radio announcer Bob Bundgaard share 'Byway Minutes' on air with area listeners.KLKS listeners may recall hearing one-minute stories about birding on the Byway, canoe routes, the Veterans Walking Trail, world’s largest Paul Bunyan rag doll, and resorts along the Byway, to name a few.

Because the appeal of Byway Minutes has not waned, KLKS is again partnering with the Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway for 2012. The format will remain the same with each informational Minute sponsored by area businesses. Minutes are recorded by Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway Association co-chair, Lynn Scharenbroich, and each concludes with the Byway jingle which was composed and recorded by one of the area’s past classic rock bands, SKAATYRS.

Byway Minutes can be heard at 2:40pm on Thursday and Saturday, and at 4:40pm on Friday.
