Byway Jingle

‘Tis the season…songs about jingle bells, the sounds of jingle bells in the air, and the creation of a Byway jingle.

The words of the jingle are simple:
Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway dot org...explore the lore.

Of course, the first six words are the Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway Association’s (PBSBA) website address. The last three words are the phrase used on many of the PBSBA printed materials, including the fourteen interpretive panel kiosks that dot the fifty-four miles of the Byway route.

“It’s easier to remember things that are put to music,” said Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway Association chairperson, Lynn Scharenbroich, “so this Byway jingle will help people easily remember where to learn more about the Byway.”

The music for the jingle was composed by members of the popular and highly regarded SKATYRS band. “It’s nice to do something for a group that draws on local history and enriches our area like the Byway Association does,“ said Ed Koehler, creator of the jingle tune. Recording of the jingle is being done on tracks, with the final blended version expected to be finished by January. Both WAV and MP3 formats will be provided to local radio stations so the stations are able to seamlessly blend the jingle into any public service announcements they do to help raise awareness of the Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway and the many community projects done by this group.
