Halverson Bay Public Access
Located east of CSAH 39/CSAH 11 intersection, Halverson Bay public access provides a concrete launch ramp with trailer and vehicle parking, availing boaters to the entire 8253 acres that comprise Pelican Lake. This 12-acre parcel was acquired in 1934 at no cost. The typical way land was acquired for accesses in those days was through game wardens (now called conservation officers),who were authorized to spend up to $1,000 for such land. Visit it on your next Byway trip!
* Water access is actually on Stewarts Bay which then connects to Halverson
Bay. Don and Jane Stewart owned Stewart’s Crow Wing Resort with property on
either side of the access from 1947-1974.
