Enjoy the Autumn colors, and take your camera!
Fall colors, one of the main players in the rhythm of the seasons, has ended rehearsal and is now performing! The splendor of the fall performance along our own Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway always results in a collective desire for unending curtain calls.
Why not make this fall the year you carve out time from your busy schedule to enjoy this flawless, colorful performance going on in your own backyard.
Located along 54 miles of county roads in northern Crow Wing County and sliding into Cass County along #1 to Pine River, this triple loop route offers a treat for the senses. Maps of the Byway route are available at any of the area Chambers of Commerce, at several businesses on the Byway, and available for download here.
Although it is a driving route, the Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway also provides great biking along paved shoulders. Walking trails in several locations offer wonderful fall color-viewing for those who prefer a peaceful stroll in the woods.
Don’t take this trip without your camera! You’ll find more photo opportunities than you have time to capture. To share your great shots, email them to us.
