Golf & Mini Golf along the Scenic Byway

Paul Bunyan, because he could do his work so quickly, had a great deal of extra time on his hands. Being a creative sort of guy, he would make up ways to entertain himself. One of his efforts resulted in what he called golfing.

People are flocking in from all over the state and beyond, often on short stays, less than a week. They come to play golf, and the area surrounding Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway provides a wide spectrum of golf courses - from the most upscale and challenging to the less humbling par three layouts, even unique pitch and putt, with much in-between.

What's in store for golfers here? Dramatic courses, new clubhouses, and avid membership groups. Ample woods and waters mixed with hills providing elevation changes are part of the reason this area is beginning to be known as a golf destination. Course Description: Scenic par three course has holes ranging from 75 to 175 yards, complete with water hazards and sand traps. Kids love the tee boxes —duck decoys, with a different species for each hole. Kids tees vary from 50 to 100 yards and are marked with rubber duckies. The course uses "artificial grass" tee boxes (not a rubber mat). New picnic shelter for parties and events. Full-sized driving range. Lessons available.
